What is a DTF transfer and how does it work?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are full-color prints made on a special film that are heat-pressed onto fabric. We print your design onto the film, apply a hot-melt adhesive powder, and cure it — then you press it onto your garment using a heat press. The result is a vibrant, durable print that works on virtually any fabric type, including cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and more.
What sizes are available?

We offer a wide range of sizes for individual transfers. We also offer gang sheets — custom-arranged layouts where you can pack multiple designs onto a single sheet to maximize value. Check our product pages for current size options and pricing.
Do you offer gang sheets?

Yes! Gang sheets let you fit multiple designs onto one sheet, which is the most cost-effective way to order. You can arrange your designs yourself or use our Gang Sheet Builder tool at checkout.
What file format do I need?

We require svg, jpg, jpeg, png, webp, pdf with a transparent background. Your file must be at least 300 DPI at the intended print size to ensure a crisp, print-ready result. Low-resolution files will not produce quality prints and may be rejected.
How do I upload my design?

After selecting your size and quantity, you'll be prompted to upload your file directly on the product page. Make sure your PNG is print-ready (transparent background, 300 DPI minimum) before uploading. If you have questions about your file, email us at support@squaredtf.com before placing your order.
How do I press a DTF transfer?

Follow these steps for best results:

  1. Pre-press your garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  2. Position the transfer face-down on the garment.
  3. Press at 305°F with 70–80 PSI or medium-firm pressure for 15 seconds.
  4. Peel the film after its completely cool (cold peel) for 1 to 2 minutes. Check your specific transfer for the recommended peel method.
  5. Re-press with a guard paper for 8 seconds to enhance wash durability and provide a smoother finish.

Note: Settings may vary slightly depending on your heat press and fabric type. Always perform a test press first.
How long does shipping take?

We offer same-day shipping on orders placed by 4:00 PM EST Monday–Friday and by 12:00 PM EST on Saturday. Orders placed after these cutoffs or on Sundays ship the next business day. Delivery time depends on your location and selected shipping method.
Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer free shipping on all orders $75 and over.
Can I pick up my order locally?

Yes — local pickup is available at our location in Mason, Ohio. Select the local pickup option at checkout. Please wait for your order confirmation before coming in to pick up.
